 Waterfowl Hunting

Louisiana Outfitters properties are located in the rice belt of Southwest Louisiana. Our eight private farms cover a 50 mile radius of prime waterfowl habitat. These properties provide a fantastic winter home to thousands of ducks and geese. We intensely manage our farms to attract and hold waterfowl, with specific water levels and field preparation.   As our guest you will have excellent opportunities to shoot several species of ducks and geese. The most prominent ducks on our straps are Green and Blue Winged Teal, Pintail and Mallards, with good chances at an additional four species. Our professional guides also rely heavily on Specklebelly Geese "flying filet mignon" to help fill your bag. With the right conditions, you will have opportunities at Snows and Blue Geese. All of our guides are passionate about everything 'waterfowl', as well as being extremely accomplished hunters and callers. Louisiana Outfitters hunts are fully guided and don't require any work or walking of our guests. Your guide will drive you and your hunting partners to your well concealed pit blind on a special purpose ATV/UTV, and then he'll place all the decoys for the specific conditions you encounter that morning, as well as expertly handle the calling. All you have to do is sit back, enjoy the show and shoot straight!

Our hunting lodge is located twenty miles east of Lake Charles. The lodge is situated on a 150 acre farm, with onsite skeet shooting. We have eight farms within a thirty mile drive both north and south of the lodge, putting our hunters in close proximity to the hunting grounds. We offer very comfortable overnight accommodations and excellent meals for twelve hunters, with a relaxed and "after the hunt" atmosphere. The lodge is equipped with all the bells and whistles; several large flat screen televisions, fireplace, card table, large covered deck, we even have a T.V. out here, so you won't miss a single snap of the big game! We also have a large mud room to store all your hunting gear. Just steps behind the lodge, is our five stand clay shooting area. As good as the hunting and amenities are many clients say "the food is the best part!"
